Metal Recovery from End-of-Life Tires
The recovery of metal, specifically steel wires, from end-of-life tires results in sorted, homogeneous scrap. Upon visual inspection, the scrap appears as a bundle of long wires, with minimal ash and iron oxide presence. There is no rubber or fiber contamination, as the furnace temperature reaches 450°C, completely pyrolyzing all contaminants. Whenever our material is melted in a 5kg arc furnace, the yield has consistently been at a minimum of 84%.
Scrap Specifications
When baled, our scrap meets HMS 1 standards under ISS codes 200 and 252. The bales are prepared for compact loading of the furnace, ensuring:
- Bale Size: Not exceeding 30 x 24 inches
- Bale Weight: Not exceeding 60 kg
- Bale Density: Optimized for economical charging and efficient furnace operation
This precise preparation ensures that our metal scrap is of the highest quality, providing reliable performance and efficiency in various industrial applications.
